Introducing our new Director of Finance, Nicole Bohneman.

It is our pleasure to announce Nicole Bohneman as our new Director of Finance.

With a unique background in public accounting deeply rooted in the Construction industry, Nicole joined Dome in 2019. Over the last few years, her sharp analytical skills, her enthusiasm, and her dedication to doing it right have been excellent contributions to the Dome team.

Math has always been Nicole’s strong suit. From the beginning, Nicole knew the best professional path for her was a business career and pursued a degree in Accounting at California State University, Chico. “What I love most about Accounting is the analytical side, which led me to pursue a career in public accounting as an Auditor. I began my career with a firm that specialized in Construction. It was there that I was exposed to how great the Industry and the people were!” Nicole states. Nicole gained experience as a Controller for a Sacramento General Contractor before landing on what she now calls her home at Dome Construction.

In this new role as Director of Finance, Nicole will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities, budgeting, managing financial risk through our SDI insurance program and captives, partnering with operations on strategic initiatives, and improving financial processes. We trust that her diverse expertise has built the strong knowledge foundation she needs to succeed in this new role.

Nicole expects, as a leader, to continue creating, developing, and empowering her team. “We have many moving pieces in Accounting, and each team member plays a valuable role in our department’s success,” Nicole notes.

What motivates Nicole to keep growing as a great leader is to develop new relationships while enhancing and cultivating the ones she already has. Nicole’s are books, the Lighthouse Leadership Series offered at Dome, Vistage, and participation with CFMA.

We are thrilled to welcome you as our new Director of Finance, Nicole! We are delighted to see you continue to grow within Dome, and we look forward to seeing where you lead this team!

More about Nicole

What are you happiest doing when you’re not working? What hobbies or sports are you involved with outside of work, and why do you enjoy them?

I’m happiest when I get to travel and explore!  Coming from a small town, Chico, CA, I kept to my comfort zone and toured the US, Mexico, and Canada.  It was not until I spontaneously put my name in for a silent auction trip to Bali at a Make-A-Wish Foundation charity event that I sparked my desire to travel abroad!

What is your dream vacation?

There are so many. I was getting my travel abroad streak started, from Bali and Thailand to Paris and Italy.  Once this pandemic is over, I’ll resume my yearly trip abroad goal and would love to live out my mother’s dream vacation and take her to Ireland on her St. Patrick’s Day birthday.

What’s the last thing you watched on TV and why did you choose to watch it?

We are currently watching Peaky Blinders, had just finished The Queen’s Gambit.  Honestly, I ask my brother what’s good on Netflix, and we go from there.

Finish this sentence. On Sunday mornings, you can usually find me…

Enjoying the outdoors, either walking my dog, Roxie, along the Bay in North Beach or finding a new spot in the City to explore.

If you had to eat one meal every day for the rest of your life, what would it be?

I don’t think I’ll ever get sick of pasta. That’s my go-to comfort food; there’s so much variety!

Fun Fact

Nicole has done years of gymnastics and can still do a front handspring!
