Introducing Dome's Newest Director & Shareholder,Tim Cadenasso!
I love the people I work with, both at Dome and our industry partners. And I love that so many of our projects, particularly in healthcare, allow our clients to make meaningful impacts in advancing patient care.
With 18+ years in construction and 11+ years with Dome, we’re thrilled to welcome Tim as our newest Director and shareholder! Let’s take a moment to celebrate this exciting milestone and get to know more about Tim and the impact he’s had here at Dome.
Tim’s path into construction started early when he was just 15. His dad worked in the lumber business and helped him get a summer job at a local lumber yard. “I was loading lumber and concrete into customers’ trucks, most of them were contractors,” Tim remembers. “They told me I should look into Construction Management in college.” He took their advice and went on to study it at Chico State. After a few internships, he knew he was on the right track, and this was the career for him.
Today, Tim is a Director at Dome. He leads a team and helps guide the company in big-picture planning, business development, and managing early project planning. His focus is on growing Dome’s work in healthcare and education, two areas where construction has a real impact on people’s lives.
It’s no surprise that a people-first mindset is at the core of Tim’s leadership. “What I love most about Dome is that we’re a people-first organization,” he said. “Every decision is made with our employees in mind, and the support across the company is incredible.” That culture of support and the guidance of strong mentors has shaped Tim’s journey. “I’ve been lucky to have great mentors throughout my career,” he shared. “The best ones knew when to step in, and when to let me figure things out on my own.”
In his new role, Tim has the opportunity to look beyond the day-to-day and focus on long-term impact. “I get to help our teams grow and make sure we’re heading in the right direction in the markets that matter most.”
What keeps him motivated? The variety. “No two days are the same. Every project brings new challenges and opportunities.” He also finds inspiration in the people he works with—both at Dome and across the industry.
As a leader, Tim brings that same mindset to his team. “What drives me is helping others grow—making sure they have the support and opportunities to reach their goals,” he said. “And I’m always learning too. I ask questions, take feedback, and stay open to change. That’s how we all keep improving.” The most important lesson he hopes to pass on? “You’re only as strong as the relationships you’ve built. If you invest in people as much as the work itself, you’ll go far.”
Leadership in Action: Tim Through the Eyes of His Colleagues
Tim’s ability to build strong relationships and support others hasn’t gone unnoticed. “Tim’s always been one of the best at connecting with the people he works with inside of Dome, helping set them up to deliver top-quality service across our portfolio,” said Alex Sargiss, Dome Project Manager. “It’s part of the reason he’s been so proficient in forming long-lasting relationships with the various clients, design professionals, and trade partners we’ve collaborated with over the years. I’m excited to see how he continues to support our teams and grow our ties to so many great clients here in the Bay Area through this new role.”
Adam Kilarr, Dome Preconstruction Manager, shared, “Tim has been a true pleasure to work with, and I’ve learned a lot from his leadership and strategic efforts to help Dome land work and keep our clients satisfied and happy. I’m excited to see what’s next for Tim in his new role as Director, and look forward to more collaboration with him on future opportunities.”
