Inspiring Dome Construction Women: Kim Davidson

We are honored to highlight Kim Davidson, a Domite that has been a force in the industry since she joined our team in 2019.

One of the best things about the construction industry is the opportunity to explore career paths. Kim took full advantage of that freedom in her construction journey. “I started as an Administrative Assistant working on the clerical side of things, and I realized I enjoyed being in the field and learning how to build. From that moment on, I knew I wanted to be an engineer and be on the job every day”. Climbing her way to the Field Engineer position is one of her most significant accomplishments, and it continues to push her to achieve any goal she sets for herself. Kim is thriving in our industry, which goes to show what determination, passion, and drive will do in lieu of higher education. During her career, she has picked up more than her fair share of wisdom, and given a chance to share that knowledge with her younger self, she would tell her to “be ready for anything, construction isn’t always easy, but sure is fun.”

Working in Construction has its challenges, but for Kim, she stays true to her mantra of “never back down and always stay true to yourself when things get tough.” The best part of Kim’s day-to-day is the team she is working with. There is never a dull moment for Kim, and even on the most hectic days, she loves what she does and could not live without it.

Kim’s vision of a better industry would be to see more women entering field roles and not being afraid to do so.
