Dome Construction announced that Rob Lynch, Chief Operating Officer has been named the new President and CEO as of October 1, 2019. President and CEO Mark Bley will remain Chairman of the Board and spend time to focus on Dome Construction Foundation, a nonprofit the company started earlier in 2019.

“One of the key responsibilities of a good leader is to ‘pass on the reins’ at the right time and to the ideal candidate,” Bley said. “I am confident that Rob is the right leader to take Dome into the next chapter. During the last 23 years, he has driven unparalleled results for Dome in the key roles that he has held and has been a vocal advocate for inclusion and diversity across the organization. I look forward to seeing the company under his leadership. While not being involved in the daily operations of Dome Construction, as Chairman of the Board I will remain involved in the strategic direction. I’m also excited about my next endeavor as I dedicate myself to philanthropy and helping Dome Construction further serve our community.”

Mark, President & CEO started working during school summer breaks at Dome Construction 45 years ago as a truck driver and laborer. He has extensive experience in projects ranging from new construction to renovations of existing buildings. Before becoming President & CEO, Mark worked in all facets of construction management. A humanitarian by nature, he will remain Dome’s Chairman of Board of Directors while overseeing Dome’s internal Philanthropy Committee and the Dome Construction Foundation. The foundation, a 501(c)3 organization will provide Dome with more opportunities to continue to support charity events via sponsorships with all partners/vendors that will now flow through the foundation. The internal Dome Philanthropy Committee will be working directly with the foundation, allowing for a cohesive system for all our philanthropic efforts.

Rob, Chief Operating Officer has been with Dome Construction for nearly 25 years and has been leading construction teams within the Bay Area for over 30. His background and expertise in creating high-performing teams, along with his in depth understanding of general building practices has been some of Rob’s key differentiators throughout his career. He is forward thinking, innovative, and has a desire to implement new tools to be better and safer builders. Currently, Rob and a team of Dome Employees have developed a new app and software platform, eMOD that does just that; help construction teams build safely. “As CEO I plan to continue in Mark’s footsteps with Dome’s absolute commitment to our employees and our clients. Our company culture is like no other in our promise of valuing everyone involved; our employees, vendors, trade partners, and clients. I intend to continuously empower our employees to take pride in their work and this business by giving them opportunities to succeed and grow here,” says Lynch. Among his goals as CEO, he hopes to place Dome as the Best Places to Work by 2023.
